Angleton Central Dispatch Chooses
BridgeCom Interoperability System (10/27/09)
Angleton Central Dispatch needed to
link several disparate communications systems together via a
centralized dispatch center. The BridgeCom TL-NET system was
able to
help them accomplish their goal.
Angleton has many communication types in use: UHF, VHF, 800MHz, Conventional/Trunked, etc. Replacing all the systems with one common system was very expensive and didn't fit the total need. They chose to use an eight channel TL-NET system and PC Client with Crosspatch to combine all their communications in one centralized dispatch center. Angleton dispatchers used PC Client with Crosspatching at a dispatch station to provide the desired link on the fly. For example, when a UHF channel needs to speak with a VHF channel the dispatcher clicks a button on PC Client to crosspatch them. With BridgeCom Systems TL-NET, PC Client and bridge radios Angleton met their goal: A centralized interoperable communications solution. Angleton dispatchers have been overjoyed with the TL-NET system. Stay tuned for more information on this solution. Also, special thanks to Nalcom Wireless for making this success story a reality. BridgeCom has also been successful using similar solutions for other applications like Schools, Universities, Hospitals, Power Companies, Ambulance Services, Hotels, and many more. BrigeCom Systems TL-NET is more than just site linking equipment, it's interoperable communication solutions. Texas
Council Deploys BridgeCom Interoperability System (9/18/09)
BridgeCom
Systems deployed a wide-area communications solution for
Nalcom Wireless in Palestine, Texas, which serves the communications
needs of the Heart of Texas Council of Governments (HOTCOG). BridgeCom
deployed single-channel gateways and controllers to each county site
and connected all the counties via IP through a TL-NET server located
at one of the county facilities. HOTCOG members developed a requirement to link the council’s public-safety entities and provide an interoperability solution so talk groups of the six counties could communicate with one another. In addition, they required dispatch control to cross patch various groups on the fly in the event of an emergency. The dispatcher of a particular county needed the tools to link two talk groups from different agencies at the press of button. The system also provides each county member with BridgeCom’s PC Client Dispatch Interoperability software running in Windows that uses a new cross-patch feature. This allows county dispatchers to monitor all channel activity and cross patch talk groups as needed, The deployment is in conventional mode, but the feature is available in for Logic Trunked Radio (LTR) trunked networks as well. Introducing the CA-1
iDEN Bridge (2009)
The
CA-1 provides a communications bridge between any popular iDEN
network, like Sprint/Nextel or SouthernLinc, and the TL-NET network.
The CA-1 allows an iDEN subscriber to communicate with and be party to
a two-way radio talk group, conventional/LTR or Digital, via Push To
Talk. Add your CA-1 to an existing site where the iDEN network is
available. Each CA-1 will have its own iDEN private call number. The
iDEN user will call the CA-1’s call number to connect to the
two-way
radio talk group. System Access is quick and the audio quality is
excellent. For more information contact Tim@BridgeComSystems.com or

Single-Site
Networkable
Mobile Comm Center (2009) BridgeCom Systems, Inc. has added a powerful new communication package to their TL-NET line of products called the SSMC-1. The SSMC-1 functions as a single channel communication site that can be networked into a service provider’s wide-area network. The SSMC-1 contains BridgeCom Systems’ CS-540 FM Repeater, TL-NET Repeater Controller, and TL-NET Ethernet Gateway packaged in a rugged wheeled case. The SSMC-1 is easily deployed on-site and only requires a high-speed ethernet connection to communicate on a wide-area network. The SSMC-1 supports operation in both conventional and LTR mode. We had several requests from our TL-NET customers to provide a mobile communication solution for public safety, in particular during disaster relief situations,” said Tim King, VP of Sales and Marketing for BridgeCom Systems. “In a timely manner we were able to put together a rugged wheeled case populated with our already exceptional networking and repeater products. The end result is the SSMC-1. The package is easily deployed and networked on-site by connecting the TL-NET Gateway to a high-speed ethernet source like Satellite, cellular broadband air card, or Microwave” The TL-NET SSMC-1 can be custom built in several configurations where both UHF and VHF conventional and LTR are supported. Antenna duplexors for both bands are optional as well. The SSCM-1 can network to an unlimited number of conventional and LTR sites. All BridgeCom Systems products come with a two-year warranty and free technical support. For more information contact Tim King at 816-532-8451 or Tim@BridgeComSystems.com. |
